Paranoia
Viridian in color, Venus is rising.
Mars, rufescent, encircles.
Somewhere, lost in thought, I am a star.
Pebbles slip-slide, rolling off of my fingertips.
Dropping into a cesspool, sound reverberates.
My heart fibrillates.
Surface tension, magenta,
Who is watching me?
Planets fox trot, in harmony with falling hail.
Staccato rhythm.
The sound reverberates, as my heart fibrillates.
Time has faded, carried within a squall.
Eyes ogle.
I make no contact.
I am being stalked?!
My heart fibrillates.
I am lost within my thoughts.
Time tiptoes by me, without a sound to be heard,
Leaving its footprints across vast terrain in the sky.
Venus rises, viridian-hued.
Mars, rufescent, encircles.
Tonight, I am the star.
Pebbles slip-slide, rolling off of my fingertips,
Falling into that cesspool, from some far away place.
I am being watched.
Time tip-toes by me, roils off of my fingertips,
This time without a trace, and not a sound can be heard-
Just the piercing sound -the eye of a storm – watching me?
