Just looking back at some older messages- don't ever feel like a "big baby" because you cry. Crying cleanses the soul and a lot of people feel a catharsis after a good cry. My mother used to say she always felt better after her "morning cry." I never saw her as being immature. I wish I could be more in touch with my feelings and have a good long cry. I am 52 years old now and haven't had a good cry since I was 13. i whine and get teary eyed but never sob. This lack of affect my doctor said is part of my illness. Or sometimes I laugh when i shouldn't be. this is called inappropriate affect. Also my mother wouldn't permit me to cry. I do get my feelings hurt easily too- that doesn't mean we're big babies- it just means we are sensitive souls and feel very deeply. That is what makes us poets!
