Mirage
Tonight is the night
That the sky is coming down,
A mirage it is,
Orange clouds,
And stars of gold and silver scintillating,
Who would ever believe?
Those angels existed,
When thunder keeps clapping
And lightening keeps striking?
Could there really be a god
Or even a goddess,
Let alone angels or fairies,
When those clouds are at war
And so many hearts are shattered and broken?
Who would ever believe
That there is a heaven,
Up in that sky that is falling
When life on this planet is hell rising,
From the surface of the oceans?
These ocean beds hold no water,
Only flames lacking any desire,
Only time will tell
When fire will touch the falling skies
As it rises raging silently.
Thunder claps and lightening strikes.
Life is a mirage-
A mirage that is a bed of dry land,
Holding no water,
Arid are the heavens, as well as the oceans,
For the skies have opened,
And no rain has fallen
For the only water that exists
Are tears of angels that have long ago dried?
In this age we live in,
Stars of gold and silver glistening,
Though beautiful, are distant and intangible
Lacking all feelings,
Life is none but a mirage,
As is life after death,
A ship has no sail,
A plane cannot fly
When there is no visibility
Demolished by time,
When the skies have fallen
And met with the ocean beds.
Listen, can you hear?
Look, can you see?
No, for all is non-existent-
Except for thunderclouds, lightening, and those magnificent stars.
But life is a mirage
Where there is not even life after death,
And the angels and fairies have died-
Is there a God?
No one can know for sure.
No one has talked to the dead.
Stars will keep shining,
Thunder will keep clapping,
Lightening will always strike,
And hearts will always be broken.
After death there is nowhere to run,
And during life’s trials there is nowhere to escape,
For all waterbeds are dry,
Hills are too high to climb,
Love and all other feelings,
As well as tears of angels,
Are just no longer present,
For it is too painful to feel,
Life best be a mirage…
