Lost
Lost
Lost, child in sprit, a
Lost soul, with a broken heart,
Weeps tears,
Purple-mauve in hue,
Eyes wide open,
Sorrow-filled.
Soulful and born innocent,
Frightened she is,
Abused, running scared,
Hides her countenance
Behind a wall of mistrust.
Spattered paint, black as hatred
Covers any words of comfort that
Cannot be read before
Her pallid face, doleful, but
Seemingly expressionless, as
Some composite face of a doll-
Childs’ play in an old-fashioned dollhouse
She plays games of hurt,
Hatred, feeling wronged, and
Born with a mind no one can understand.
Lost,
Child in spirit, with
A lost soul,
Not fathomed or believed in,
Neglected by her mother,
Beaten by her father.
Sky of brick- like red, and the majestic
Sun comes tumbling down upon her as she escapes
Those who watch her as she walks away,
Leaving footprints in the sand that
Fill with sea foam as
She walks towards where the horizon begins,
Wearing a composite like mask of that doll,
Collecting tears as they rain into a bucket of red-
Because it is so just so painless not to feel…
